Photography & Videography is owned and operated by Mike & Shawna Erbsen
of Kearney. Mike
started in photography in 1981 while he was a student at East High School
in Denver. Further education was developed at Career Education Center (Denver)
and Colorado Mountain College in Leadville Colorado. After College Mike worked
for Barnes Professional Modeling Agency as a Model, photographer, Videographer
and Instructor. He then worked in Breckenridge Colorado for Sharp Shooters
Inc. as a resort photographer. In 1987 Mike Started his own Photography and
Videography business in Denver. His client list included Polygram records,
where he did shoots for The Scorpions, Dan Folgelberg and MTV.
Century Advertising where he handled all video production and publicity photography
for their conglomeration of Restaurants and night clubs. And CCandG restaurants
shooting their annual golf tournament and local promotions. In 1989 Mike did
his first wedding and new this was something he really enjoyed and wanted
to specialize in. Eleven years and many weddings later, Mike and Shawna decided
to move their business and family to Kearney. Shawna is a Kearney native and
knew there was no better place on the planet to raise their kids. Mike fell
in love with the Kearney area and its wonderful people and Artisans quickly
took hold as one of the premier Photography and Videography businesses in
Central Nebraska. Mike is a member of the Professional Photographers of Nebraska
and regularly attends classes and seminars to hone his abilities. Artisans
is Located in the Kearney Downtown Centre, one door south of Payne Larson
Furniture.
